A leaking bath screen can cause long term damage to the surrounding area and possibly to unseen areas such as joists. Maybe you currently have a curtain that gets left hanging outside of the bath or just not pulled across. A new, professionally fitted bath screen will give you a watertight seal as well as aesthetically enhancing your bathroom.
Given the vast choice of bath screens, I would suggest that you purchase this as it’s an aesthetic choice as well as functional. Advice can be given on selection – overall for folding screens it is recommend to spend a little more to prevent leaks at the joints.
Overflowing toilets (external pipe or internal overflow giving the impression of continual flow), failure to flush, dual flush needed to replace traditional large flush, floppy loo handle, push button loose toilet seats including concealed fixings, concealed flush fixing, general leaks and drips from supply pipes, overflow pipes and waste water pipes.
Fixing a toilet can normally provide a very cost effective solution to replacement especially when you take into consideration the fact that a new toilet will very rarely match the existing space often revealing unsightly gaps in the floor and wall where the other toilet used to be (generally newer toilets tend to be smaller than the previous).
Keeping your bath, shower and sinks watertight with a good silicon seal prevents water ingress into the fabric of the building. Even small breaks in the seal can cause gradual ingress which is often left undetected causing damage to joists, plasterboard, decoration and saturation/damp in solid walls.
Old silicon will also age to an off white sometimes yellow colour, or even have black mould spots growing making for an unsightly bathroom.
There is no better and cheaper way to freshen up your bathroom than with a fresh bead of silicon.
Dripping Taps will often cause an unsightly limescale build up around the tap itself or whatever it’s dripping onto. Dripping taps rarely improve and deterioration can often be rapid especially on rubber seals. Drips can be caused by worn or deteriorated traditional rubber washers, cracked or scored ceramic valves or worn o-rings (normally on swivel kitchen taps).
I can unblock sinks, baths and showers and toilets
Given the urgency, if you have a blockage I will try and get to you the same day.
Changing taps is one of the jobs I am most frequently asked to carry out.
Most of the time taps are provided by the customer, although I will often be able to give advice on the type to buy and can sometimes purchase for you if you have something in mind.
If you need a job done that is not listed here please call me on 07833 464494.
